Mid 2011 I finally broke down and bought a camera that also takes good quality video.

Keeping up my 2010 bird project I could not help but track bird behavior. Living at the top of the canopy of the riparian forest above Johnson Creek I am presented with a fairly unique view and wanted to try to record it. The simplest way to present these videos online seems to be YouTube. The videos are uploaded, for the most part, at 1080 resolution. This seems a bit much for YouTube's servers. These videos are best viewed full screen at 720 resolution if you have the bandwidth to stream them without pauses.
