Bushtit

Bushtits live year round along the riparian zone of Johnson Creek. They forage in groups of up to thirty birds as they chatter to one another going from one tree to the next. In mid-spring their flocking behavior changes when there are only pairs of birds foraging together. By June they are back to foraging in larger groups again. In case you're curious, birds with black eyes are juveniles or males. Mature females have yellow eyes.
